Janesville firefighters are investigating a blaze on the city’s near south side.  Firefighters were called to an older two-story home in the 800 block of West Holmes Street a little before 5:30 p.m. Sunday.  First responders say flames were visible when they arrived.  Fire damaged both the first and second floors.  The Red Cross is assisting residents displaced by the fire.  No one was reported injured.
