A lot of new faces are on the Janesville police department.  Police Chief David Moore says 20-officers have been hired over the course of the last eight months.  Moore says the new officers represent about one-third the patrol division.  He says the need for new officers follows a larger than normal number of retirements.  The chief says delayed promotions and staggered training schedules have allowed community service levels to remain constant despite the high turnover.
