The Rock County Health Department reports a new record for COVID cases.  Epidemiologist Nick Zupan says 170 new cases per day have been reported over the last week, with another 80 probable from home test kits.  Zupan says the current active case rate is over 3000, which is the highest its been throughout the course of the pandemic.  He also says the county has not had any lab confirmed Omicron variant cases, but judging from the confirmed cases in surrounding counties, it is likely already here.
