Longtime former Beloit Fire Chief Brad Liggett has died.  Liggett, who most recently served the Freeport, Illinois Fire Department as chief since July of 2019 passed away  suddenly Saturday.  Liggett served in the city of Beloit fire Department for 30-years and was chief for sixteen.  Just this past December, Liggett was elected First Vice President of the Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association.  Funeral arrangements are being made through Daley Murphy Wisch and Associates Funeral home in Beloit.  Liggett was 55.
