A spike in the number of COVID-19 cases is prompting a local school district to delay any plans to make masking optional.  Milton Superintendent Richard Dahman says this is not the time to be change safety protocols.  The school board this week agreed to keep universal masking, but also voted to follow new guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in reducing quarantine times from ten-to-five days.  Dahman also warned the board the escalating case numbers are resulting with staffing shortages.  He says continued safety protocols are needed to help maintain in-person learning.
