Affordable housing may be becoming tougher to find in Janesville.  Housing Services Director Kelly Bedessem says the city helps about five-hundred households with rental assistance each month.  Bedessem says applications for a waiting list will be accepted for the first time in two-years starting February 7th.  She says typically the application process is done in person, but this year it’ll be conducted on-line through March 8th.  The program is funded with federal funding and low-income households are still expected to pay for 30% of their rent.
