Rock County home sale prices increase as affordability slides between December of 2020 and last month.

Rock-Green Realtors Association President Connor Fox says the average price of home sales is increasing due to more buyers, but the number of sales is decreasing because of lacking inventory.

Fox says he thinks median home prices and incomes will, in time, catch up as interest rates are projected to go up another one or two percent.

He says, there will always be buyers looking despite the need for inventory, and sellers unsure where to go.

In the Wisconsin Realtors Association release, closed sales are up 0.7 percent in the South Central region.
