The Beloit Police Department has set up a tip line for any information dealing with a homicide outside Beloit Memorial High School after Saturday night’s home game. During a news conference Sunday morning, Police Chief Andre Sayles said dozens of people were witness to the shooting of a 19-year-old man. Sayles urges anyone with information to come forward. He says the “no-snitch” culture has to end. City Manager Lori Curtis Luther used the opportunity to applaud the police department’s tireless efforts in investigating three homicides which occurred over the span of 81 hours. Curtis Luther also urged witnesses to come forward with what they know. Beloit Superintendent of Schools Dr. Dan Keyser expressed great sadness over the event and announced a Student Services Team is available to help with the emotional impact of the violence. Police say the tip line at 608-364-6823 will be staffed 24-hours a day.
