A family of three escapes a house fire north of Janesville.  Firefighters were called to the 900 block of East Russell Road in the Town of Janesville a little before 9:00  p.m. Sunday.  Officials say the fire had already worked its way from the attached garage into the home.  The cause may have been hot ashes put into a garbage can and left outside the garage.  Damage is considered extensive.
