
Three people are under arrest after Monroe Police bust a marijuana an hallucinogenic mushroom grow operation.
According to a news release, on February 10th, just after 5:00 a.m. the State Line Area Narcotics Team Task Force and Monroe Police executed a search warrant on a residence on the 500 block of 21st Street on Monroe’s southwest side.
Agents seized over 37 pounds of marijuana, 200 THC cartridges, 16 marijuana plants, over 140 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, over 50 grams of cocaine, almost three grams of heroin, a pistol, a large amount of ammunition, cash, and drug paraphernalia.
47-year-old Mark D. McCoy and 40-year-old Tiffany J. Turner were arrested on suspicion of maintaining a drug trafficking place, manufacturing THC, manufacturing psilocybin, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCoy also faces bail jumping charges.
56-year-old Dwayne E. Sandress was arrested was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
