The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the Evansville man killed in a four-vehicle crash in Dane County Thursday.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the crash on Highway 14 just south of Waterman Road in the town of Rutland around 7:30 a.m. on February 17th.

Initial investigation determined that a vehicle traveling northbound on 14 veered over the centerline and side swiped a southbound vehicle and then struck a second southbound vehicle head-on. A fourth northbound vehicle rear-ended the first northbound car.

The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office says 41-year-old Lars M Otterson of Evansville died from injuries sustained in the crash.

One other driver was transported to a local hospital and the two others were not injured.
