The Janesville School Board provides updates on the Federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III funds under the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act. Financial Analyst/Grants Manager Tami Carlson says the Janesville School District is eligible for $16,654,853 reimbursement in expenses tied to budget items based on an ESSER III Plan submitted to and approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Carlson says the budget will be updated and posted to the district ESSER Federal Funding website accordingly as details are determined throughout the grant’s March 11, 2022 to September 30, 2024 period. The initial budget is due March 11th.
