The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is making the public aware of a of convicted sex offender who is moving in to the community.

43-year-old Matthew A. Nitz is relocating to Rock Valley Community Programs at 203 West Sunny Lane in Janesville on March 7th.

Nitz was convicted in Eau Claire County of two counts of possession of child pornography in 2018.

While living in Janesville Nitz is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors, no contact with the victim, he’s not allowed to consume drugs, and must comply with standard sex offender rules.
