The Rock County Public Health Department is closely watching the number of new COVID-19 cases as they decline. County Epidemiologist Nick Zupan says after a concerning January and February, the reduction in cases has come quickly. Zupan says the health department is seeing about 12 new cases a day over the last week. He calls that low, even though its not the lowest level during the course of the pandemic. The health department continues to monitor infection data, and warns tests of wastewater in other parts of the state indicate the potential for another spike in infections.
