Child care businesses in Rock County could be getting some relief from a resolution introduced last week at the Rock County Board of supervisors meeting.

District 17 Supervisor Genia Stevens says even before the COVID-19 pandemic child care has been hard for many families to afford, and the people who work in child care receive extremely low pay.

Stevens says since the pandemic started the County has experienced and extreme shortage of child care providers and families have found childcare even harder to pay for.

Stevens introduced her resolution reallocating $ 2 million in ARPA small business funding for child care businesses before it was referred to committee.
