NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes in Beloit is investing $50 million in a new facility to produce a therapeutic radioisotope used to cure people of breast and prostate cancer.
The Beloit City Council on Monday night gave the company the green light to construct another 28,000 square foot building on the property at 1800 Gateway Boulevard.
The City Council needed to approve a planned unit development and rezone the property from M-1 limited manufacturing due to the site having multiple buildings.
