A proposed new tax incremental financing district on Janesville’s east side could add $31 million in value to the City.

The proposed TID number 39 is comprised of 70 acres of land located south of the Youth Sports Complex and north of Capital Circle.

Deputy City Manager Ryan McCue says at least on developer is interested in City-owned land within the TID that was acquired from Granger.

The Janesville Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on the creation of tax increment district 39 at their meeting on May 16th.
