Motorists traveling the Interstate near Beloit this week may want to plan ahead.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the I-39/90 northbound ramp to Highway 81 in Beloit will be close from 6:00 Monday morning until 5:00 Friday afternoon.

Drivers will need to follow a signed detour route from I-39/90 north to I-43 north and exit at Hart Road to proceed onto Highway 81 into Beloit

The closure is necessary while crews complete carryover work from the I-39/90 and I-43 interchange project.

The work operations and ramp closure are weather dependent and subject to change.
