Blackhawk Musky Club, It’s A Keeper Bait & Tackle, and Janesville Recreation Division are holding the 40th annual Take a Kid Fishing Derby this summer. Recreation Programmer Sara Helgeson says they hope people continue utilizing the city’s parks. Helgeson says it’s a great way getting to know the parks, learning to fish and spending time with family and friends. It’s scheduled 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 4 at Traxler Park Lagoon.
