Local residents won’t be able to go to the Janesville Ice Arena starting Saturday as the old ice gets replaced with the new. Supervisor Bill Scherer says they have to take the ice out and redo the painting, because the paint fades. Scherer says the hockey lines can’t be seen and it’s a time consuming thing to do. They close this time of year as it’s their slowest time, and plans are to reopen June 10. Volunteers interested in helping can call the Ice Arena.
