It won’t be hard to find a place to cool down in Janesville come Saturday.

Recreation Director Shelley Slapak says the Riverside Park splash pad will open for the season on Saturday.

Slapak says crews are doing some maintenance on the Bubbler at the Town Square, but hope to have that open Saturday too.

Rockport Pool and the Palmer Park wading pool are expected to open next month.

Slapak says anyone interested in working as a lifeguard should apply, as the City provides all of the training and certifications.
