The School District of Janesville is filling it’s newly created athletic director director position.

Out of 36 applicants, the district selected Jim McClowry, who currently serves as Associate Principal and Activities Director at Appleton West High School.

McClowry holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Psychology from Cornell College, and a Master of Arts Degree in Athletic Administration from Ball State University. He holds Wisconsin educator licenses including Elementary/Middle Level Teacher, Director of Instruction, and Principal.

The School Board voted to create the district-wide athletic director position in March of last year but were unable to find a candidate until this year.

The board still needs to approve McClowry’s hiring, which comes with a salary of $117,000.
