To maintain eligibility for Community Development Block Grant funding, Beloit prepares its 2023 Annual Action Plan for submittal to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. City of Beloit Grants Administrator Megan McBride says each year they do an annual action plan which establishes the budget and where grant funding will go that year. McBride says they’re just starting the process, the first thing being two public hearings related to community needs for community development. She says they’re opportunities for people to attend and have her share their comments. She says it’s a great way to start the process and get a good assessment of what community needs are, entering 2023. According to a news release, public hearings are June 20 and 22 in the Forum at City Hall.
