The Beloit City Council discusses who will lead the City in the short term after City Manager Lori Curtis Luther leaves for a new job in August.
According to Monday night’s City Council agenda, the council may convene in closed session to consider the appointment of an interim city manager.
Curtis-Luther announced almost two weeks ago that she had accepted the City Manager position in Overland Park, Kansas, where she previously served as assistant city manager.
Some of Curtis-Luther’s accomplishments during her seven years as Beloit city manager include bringing reforms to the city’s police department, bringing inclusiveness to the city’s hiring processes, and welcoming several new businesses to the city’s Gateway Business Park, including Amazon.
