Anyone wishing to have an absentee ballot mailed to them for the August 9th partisan primary election should put in their request soon.

Rock County Clerk Lisa Tollefson says municipal clerks will begin mailing ballots out on Thursday.

Tollefson says nothing has changed since the last election in terms of drop boxes. They can be used as long as they are monitored.

Tollefson says poll workers will come out to the curb to take absentee ballots from people who are handicap and unable to make it inside.

Tollefson says she doesn’t anticipate the State Supreme Court making a decision regarding drop boxes prior to Thursday.
