An interim Economic Development Leader for the city have Beloit has been named.

Drew Pennington says he could see himself throwing his name in for the permanent position. Pennington says he won’t be involved in setting up the search for the permanent role.

Pennington says he’s coming into the role with a different perspective given his background and is excited to continue the work that is being done in Beloit.

Pennigton joined the city of Beloit in 2007, and was promoted to Director of Planning and Building Services in 2012.
