
A garage in Janesville catches fire as a result of the resident using a wet/dry vac to siphon gasoline out of a vehicle.
According to a news release, the Janesville fire Department was dispatched to a home on the 4100 block of North River Road on the report of a garage fire.
When the first unit arrived they found the detached garage fully engulfed with the fire beginning to spread to the adjacent home.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading and damage to the home was minimal.
One person was transported to the hospital for burns to the hands and arms.
The total estimated damage to the property and contents is estimated at $150,000.
