A virtual focus group was held by the School District of Beloit to help in the search for a new superintendent.

Participants voiced their desires for the superintendent candidate profile like commitment to the time it takes to build a school district and someone with previous job experience as opposed to on the job training.

Those attending also discussed what kind of leader they would like in their superintendent including willingness to work with others and an open mind, someone who is charasmatic and inspring, and someone who is willing to build trust within the community and with staff.

Former superintendent Daniel Keyser recently left to take the superintendent job in Stoughton.
