A Beloit man is taken into custody peacefully following an hours-long standoff with police Thursday night into Friday morning.

Beloit Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says 25-year-old Draylen C. Fair refused to exit a home on the 2100 block of Candy Lane so he could be taken into custody on felony charges.

After about six hours, Fair surrendered after the Tactical Operations Unit was deployed.

Fair is being held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
