A 57-year-old Janesville man accused of sexually assaulting a patient at an assisted living facility in Milton appears to still be working there.

Douglas Hearn is charged in Rock County court with second-degree sexual assault of a mentally ill victim.

He’s accused of having skin-to-skin contact with a patient with dementia while on an outing to a store. The criminal complaint says his DNA was found on her clothing.

The conditions of Hearn’s original $10,000 signature bond included that he could not be within 100 feet of Heartwarming House except for once with a police escort to collect his belongings.

His bond was modified the next day to allow him to work remotely but not to have any visual interaction with Heartwarming House.

Hearn’s bond was modified again Tuesday morning to allow him to be at Heartwarming House but he can’t have any contact or provide treatment or care for any residents.

Heartwarming House did not respond to a request for comment by air time.
