The Janesville Police Department’s National Night Out celebration returns to Traxler Park next week.

Officer Daniel Hanson says it will take place from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2nd.

Hanson says the purpose of the event is to get the community to have a good time while forming positive relationships with law enforcement.

The event features kids games, informational booths, free food and drinks, an air boat demonstration by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, a performance by the Janesville wrestling alliance, and the Rock Aqua Jays Water Ski Show team will be practicing.
