A 39-year-old registered sex offender, who’s currently a resident at Rock Valley Community Programs in Janesville is facing new charges.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry website, John J. Perry-Rydz was convicted of possession of child pornography in Outagamie County in November of 2009. As a result, he is required to register as a sex offender for life.
Last month Perry-Rydz was charged in Rock County Court with two counts of possession of child pornography.
On Monday Perry-Rydz waived his right to a preliminary hearing and plead not guilty to the charges.
Court Commissioner Jack Hoag bound Perry-Rydz over for trial before referring the matter to Judge Ashley Morse.
He’s currently being held on a $500 cash bond.
