The former Clinton Elementary school is being used by local law enforcement to conduct active shooter training.

Clinton Chief of Police Mike Schultz says using the building provides a unique opportunity, allowing them to do practice breaching and other techniques that wouldn’t be possible at an operating school.

Schultz says they teamed up with the school district and invited other local law enforcement to take advantage of the building and that Janesville SWAT used it to practice new breaching methods.

The former elementary school is scheduled to be demolished in the upcoming weeks.
