A 32-year-old Beloit man is accused of transporting a minor across state lines to produce child pornography.

According to a news release, a federal grand jury in Madison indicted Everett Wescott on charges of transporting a minor across state lines with the intent of engaging in sexual activity and producing child pornography.

Wescott is accused of transporting a minor from Illinois to Wisconsin in March of last year with the purpose of producing child porn and also that he used an iPhone to produce child porn between January of 2020 and September of 2021.

If convicted, Wescott faces a minimum of 25 years in prison on the two charges.
