A workgroup tasked with making recommendations on funds coming to Rock County from the National Opioid Settlement submits their report to the Rock County Board of Supervisors.

Corporation Counsel Richard Greenlee says the total value is $26 billion over the course of 18 years with Rock County’s share at about $6.6 million.

Some of the recommendations on how to spend the money include hiring a full time person to oversee the funds, increasing access to sober living, increasing access to higher level treatment options, and providing evidence-based, youth substance use prevention or intervention.

The full report of recommendations can be found on the Rock County Public Health Department’s website.
