
A 40-year-old Brodhead man is under arrest for drunken driving for the third time after Monroe Police say he left the scene of an accident.
According to a news release, officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at 9th Street and 15th Avenue just before 10:30 Thursday morning.
Investigation determined that Cole F. Brunner was headed southbound on 15th avenue when he rear-ended another southbound vehicle operated by a 33-year-old Monroe woman.
Brunner left the scene of the accident but was located later by responding officers.
Brunner was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated third offense and was also cited for hit and run to an attended vehicle, failure to stop for a stop sign, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, and reckless driving.
