The City of Janesville begins a major pavement rehabilitation project at Traxler Park.

City Project Engineer Karissa Chapman Greer says work is expected to last until the first week in November.

As a result the park will be closed to vehicular traffic on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. through November 4th. The park will reopen to v3ehicles on the weekends.

Chapman Greer says the project will include improvements to the storm sewer system so that there is better drainage and less ponding on the new pavement areas, as well as additional parking spaces.
