Work is progressing ahead of scheduled on the Highway 14/Humes Road reconstruction project in Janesville.

Construction Project Leader Lance Wagner said in an update to Forward Janesville Friday that the southbound Interstate ramps are reopening – three days ahead of schedule.

Wagner says the northbound ramps will close on Monday with plans to have them completed in less than 21 days.

Wagner says work is beginning on the new Ice Age Trail extension that will allow pedestrian traffic to travel through the business district.
