Now more than ever, Janesville Police are warning citizens to stay away from street drugs after fentanyl is turning up in everything from cocaine to THC gummies.

Lieutenant Mike Blaser says a citizen recently fell unconscious after smoking marijuana and was revived with NARCAN. They later tested positive for fentanyl.

Blaser says earlier in the year a person who was using cocaine socially passed out and became unconscious and was also revived with an opioid overdose reversal drug.

Fentanyl does not have a smell, or taste, and it only takes a small dose to be lethal.

Individuals who are experiencing an overdose me have constricted pupils, loss of consciousness, slow breathing, or discoloration.
