A local trick or treat event is looking for residents to volunteer their trunks to help make it a success.

Recreation Programmer Sara Helgeson says organizations, businesses, or even families can register and decorate their vehicles for the third annual Trunk or Treat at Riverside Park.

Helgeson says the deadline to register is September 30th, but if there are spots available after, they will take volunteers until next Tuesday the 4th.

Helgeson says she’s seen a rise in these types of events at it can allow for more safety and lets families take a more stationary approach to trick or treating.

The trick or treat event takes place at a new location this year at Riverside Park on October 22nd from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
