When it comes to how to best spend an estimated $5 billion budget surplus, Republican Marisa Voelkel says she’d like to restructure property taxes and income taxes to get the brackets much lower for citizens.
Democrat Jenna Jacobson says she supports Governor Tony Evers plans for the surplus which includes better funding public education.
On the topic of abortion, Jacobson says she would support repealing the 1849 law that restricts abortion even in cases or rape and incest. Voelkel said she might support exceptions in cases where the life of the mother is at risk.
The election is Tuesday, November 8th.
