City of Janesville residents are encouraged to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming General Election on November 8, 2022.

The Clerk-Treasurer’s Office reminds voters to visit myvote.wi.gov to verify their voter registration is active or update their registration, assuring that it only takes a few minutes. The deadline to submit voter registration online or by mail is Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Following that date, residents should visit the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office in City Hall (18 N. Jackson St.) or their polling place on Election Day to register.

In-person absentee voting will begin on Tuesday, October 25, at City Hall (18 N. Jackson St.) and continue weekdays through Friday, November 4. During in-person absentee voting, voters may cast their ballot between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The Clerk-Treasurer’s Office will offer extended hours on Friday, November 4, with voting open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Election Day, November 8, all 10 voting locations will be open for voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents should remember to check www.myvote.wi.gov for their polling place before heading out. Voters are required to show a photo ID to cast an absentee ballot or vote on Election Day. To learn more about acceptable forms of ID, please visit bringitwisconsin.com.
