A roundtable discussion with community and business leaders at IronTek in Beloit turned into an opportunity for US Senator Ron Johnson to share his thoughts on a variety of hot button issues.

Johnson said he enjoyed the roundtable because unlike debates, he was able to talk to Wisconsinites about issues that impact them like high inflation, staff shortages, and rises in crime.

When asked about the legalization of recreational marijuana in Wisconsin, Johnson urged states considering legalization to take caution and examine what’s happening in states where it has been legalized.

Johnson is running against Democrat Mandela Barnes for Wisconsin’s senate seat in this fall’s election.
