The City of Beloit has a new Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry.

Matt Amundson has over 20 years of experience in Parks & Recreation, including serving in Parks & Recreation Director roles in the City of Middleton and the City of Whitewater.

Amundson received the Wisconsin Parks and Recreation Association’s Parks Professional of the Year award in 2019.

In his most recent role with Middleton, he was responsible for the city’s parks and conservancy areas, including planning, design, construction and maintenance.

The City of Beloit also promoted Nicole Yost from the position of Recreation Coordinator to Recreation Supervisor.
