A search is underway for a Fitchburg man, who fled following a chase and crash in Janesville.

The State Patrol attempted to pull Christopher Miller over early Saturday morning. Miller’s vehicle hit a traffic light, but he kept driving until his car became disabled on the interstate, where he apparently got out of the vehicle and ran off.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says they received information from Miller’s family on Monday that they have not had contact with him.

An extensive search of the area included fixed-wing plans, drones, UTV and ATV’s and personnel searching on foot.

Miller is described as a black man who is six feet tall and 178 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt.
