The Janesville and Edgerton Fire Departments assist in extinguishing a blaze in the town of Albion.

According to a news release from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were dispatched to a structure fire in the 1400 block of County Highway W just before 3:30 Tuesday morning.

The sole occupant was able to safely evacuate.

Damage is estimated at $50,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, although it does not appear suspicious.
