Christmas tree collection for the City of Janesville has been scheduled for the week of January 9th.
Operations Superintendent Ethan Lee says people can leave their trees on the curb and they will be picked up on their normal trash collection day, but the city will not collect trees that have been buried or frozen into snowbanks on terraces.
Lee says there are a couple of other options for tree removal, including dropping trees off at the sanitary landfill at no extra charge or cutting the tree up so it fits into their normal trash bin.
Anyone with questions on Christmas tree removal is asked to contact the city services center.
