
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office arrests a man accused of threatening people at a house party with a gun and then firing at officers.
According to a news release, deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 7100 block of Hamms Road in the Town of Spring Prairie just after 2:00 Thursday morning after several 911 callers reported a male had threatened people with a gun.
Upon arrival, deputies found more than 20 people present and the suspect fled on foot.
The sheriff’s office says the suspect fired at officers and fled into a wooded area.
The suspect was taken into custody after a SWAT team was called in and a perimeter was set up.
There were no reported injuries and the incident remains under investigation.
