A recent string of break ins near Sherwood Street and Emerson Drive in Beloit has police asking residents to stay vigilant.

Sergeant Ryan Flanagan says over the course of two nights multiple cars were broken into, but they believe the same suspect graduated to burglarizing a home early (Tuesday) morning.

Flanagan says residents need to make sure their cars and homes are locked and is asking residents to go back through their Ring or any camera footage they might have to get a better look at the suspect.

Flanagan says people can submit a tip through the P3 tip line or call the non emergency number if they have any info.
