project1649-5

A non-profit serving homeless and unaccompanied youth benefits from a share of $2 million in Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Foundation funding intended to provide emergency shelter, transitional residences, and extremely low-income housing.

Executive Director Tammy DeGarmo says Project 16:49 received $42,129.

The money will allow Project 16:49 to replace the furnace at it’s Janesville location; and install air conditioning and replace base board heating at it’s Beloit location.

In total, 54 organizations around the state received funding.

The YWCA Rock county received a $2,500 grant to replace the outdated residential-grade main door access and intercom with a commercial grade system.
